October 2 — Friday at 6pm-8pm
Part painting workshop, part snack session!
Local watercolor artist Irene (of Chroma Rex) will lead us through some warm-up painting exercises, then our dessert still life paintings next (everyone gets their own serving!).
We'll celebrate leveling up our painting skills by eating at the end!
We'll cover:
- Strategizing full color backgrounds around your subject
- Applying layers for details, textures, and shadows
- A bit of color theory for mixing all the colors you need (including some fun metallic & iridescent ones!)
You'll leave with your paintings, some artist-grade supplies, and the confidence to keep practicing at home!
Note on dietary restrictions: Dessert will be cake from Paper Cake Shop - flavor TBD as Paper Cake Shop rotates their flavors! (most likely dairy, & gluten)
