This is a 8 week hand building course intended for students who want to expand their pottery skills. It’s important to have a basic understanding about working with the material. Techniques to have under your belt for this class are coil building, attaching/slip & scoring, and slab building basics.
During this series we will cover
Glaze Layering - this will entail of lots of testing throughout the class to get a deeper understanding of glaze and its limits
How to reclaim clay
Adding ‘feet’ - elevate your pieces with a little height

Press molds for repetitive pattern making
